What is the best acne treatment for adult acne?

I am 32 years old and I have battled an acne problem since I was a teenager. At times it would be OK but then flare up again. For the past 4 years I have used Proactiv and although it helps, I still have flare ups. Has anyone tried any other products out there other than Proactiv and has had any success?

Hello. I just turned 32 yesterday! I read that tea tree oil and salycilic acid (use both if you can, sorry about spelling) acts simultaneously as ati-aging and acne treatment so DEFINATELY use those both or one of those and it really does help to brighten my 30’s dull skin. i have not purchased tea tree oil products yet but plan to get tt oil from body shop. i suffer from adult acne which is terrible. I also use a benzol perozide spot treatment at night if I have big ones for faster treatment. My toner over the years by clinique contained slicylic acid so that is good and i use clean and clear lotion under makeup , i think neutragena has a lotion with salycilic acid. ONe downside to SA is that it can produce burn spots on me, but most of them are not permanant
ADD: if you have oily skin and bad break outs, skip using moisturizer for as long as you can maybe only use it if you are putting makeup on

try using clean and clear in the silver and purple bottle. And a clay mask my friends mom does that and her skin is amazing. (she is 52)

Hello, another 32 year old here. I’ve had flare ups since having children, and right now have them under control using Simple moisturising ****** cleanser, egg-white and lemon juice masks 2-3 times a week and drinking lots of green tea. I tried everything. Cutting out my SPF moisturiser seemed to help, and I now use Soap and Glory’s Catch a Wrinkle (with sun filters) which is amazing.
I recently found this site and I’m really interested in it. Basically you mix and match ingredients to create your perfect skincare. It’s pretty involved and I haven’t ordered anything yet, but I intend to.
