Retina is an acidic solution that sloughs off the top layers of skin, giving the appearance of new or fresh skin. However it appears that you have another problem. Acne comes from the inside OUT. Meaning that you need to watch what you eat and drink. Lay off the chips, salt and sodas. These all contain bromides (salts) along with other candies and useless foods. Try eating healthy and after a few weeks (sadly, yes, weeks) your problem should start clearing up along with a regimen of daily face washing with anti-bacterial soaps. Retina is highly recommended to remove any signs of scarring caused by acne or sun damage, but for just plain regular old pimples, no, I don't see it. Not unless your dermatologist recommends it too you.
